Adding simple elegance to a family home
The Space
It became clear to us within just a few minutes of speaking with the client that their vision for the space was rooted in simplicity. They had a refined, understated taste and wanted their home to be a true reflection of that sensibility. The design needed to embody a quiet elegance—something that felt serene, uncluttered, and effortlessly sophisticated. Rather than making bold statements, the space was meant to speak softly through thoughtful details, subtle textures, and a harmonious palette that complemented the family’s minimalist lifestyle.
This project was particularly special because the place carried a rich history, which added depth and meaning to our work. Our clients had a clear vision—they wanted a home that felt calm and understated, with no flashy or over-the-top elements. Their preference for simplicity guided every design decision we made.
We chose a muted palette, with blue and grey as the dominant wall colours, and paired them with elegant, minimal materials to create a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. The family’s dog was also an important part of the household, and we thoughtfully incorporated that into the design of the exteriors.
Working on this home was a truly rewarding experience. When we revealed the final space at a surprise housewarming celebration, the joy on our clients’ faces said it all—they genuinely loved their new home.
